Results of may dogs hair tests have indicated a strong deficiency of three B vitamins. However, since all the B vitamins work synergistically, most must be supplemented to correct the three most deficient. The itching has been observed as either calcium leaving the bloodstream and entering the fur (seen as a whitening of the coat color) and/or a tingling or pringling sensation which causes the dogs to itch, bite, chew or constantly lick at the area.
